Kyle Busch says Childress? fine is ?end of it?

Kyle Busch says that the $150,000 fine NASCAR levied against Richard Childress is the end of the matter for him.

Childress was fined Monday for hitting Busch after the NASCAR truck race at Kansas Speedway. Busch was in Rossburg, Ohio on Wednesday to participate in Tony Stewart?s annual charity race.

?NASCAR decided to make the decisions that they felt were necessary,? Busch said before the race at Eldora Speedway. ?It?s pretty much the end of it. It?s not my fight.?

Kansas races get good ratings

The Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway that was aired on Fox benefited from not being up against the NFL. The ratings for Sunday?s race were a 3.9 and 10 share (6.3 million viewers) up 63 percent from the ratings for last October?s race on ESPN.

The Camping World Truck Series race did well, too, as it was the highest-rated truck race in 11 years at Kansas Speedway.

The 2011 NASCAR on FOX season concluded Sunday with an average of 8.6 million viewers for its 13 races, up 9 percent from 2010?s 7.9 million. That is the largest one-year audience increase in the 11-year history of NASCAR on Fox.

New title sponsor for trucks race

Kansas Speedway has signed a multiyear deal with Specialty Fertilizer Products to sponsor the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway starting in 2012.

Specialty Fertilizer Products replaces longtime sponsor O?Reilly Auto Parts, which also pulled out of its title sponsorship of the NHRA Summer Nationals in Topeka.

?This is an exciting announcement for us today as we just completed another successful NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event that saw Kansas native Clint Bowyer win his first race at Kansas Speedway,? Speedway president Pat Warren said. ?I look forward to working with SFP to promote our truck series event and to continue to make it one of the best truck series races in the country.?

SFP was recently chosen the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year for 2011.
